Suuret Rinnat (Big Breasts, Finnish)

Today’s version of this questionable Visions feature comes to you with a brand new added bonus, a real photo on this page (as you can see below). Sadly, most of the really good photos of big breasts are not subject to the creative commons license (but are subject to allegations of poor taste), only links are available for most of  the shots below.

Tons of Water Ice Found on the Moon's North Pole

Tons of Water Ice Found on the Moon’s North Pole

Hundreds of millions of tons of water have been found on the Moon, and scientists believe that this considerable quantity would be sufficient to support life on the planet.

Wired describes the findings of the lunar probe:

A NASA radar aboard India’s Chandrayaan-I lunar orbiter found 40 craters, ranging in size from 1 to 9 miles across, with pockets of ice. Scientists estimate at least 600 million tons of ice could be entombed in these craters.

The image below shows the north pole of the moon and pinpoints the craters that scientists believe contain the stores of water.

Dr. Paul Spudis, with the Lunar and Planetary Institute in Houston, told the BBC, ‘Now we can say with a fair degree of confidence that a sustainable human presence on the Moon is possible. It’s possible using the resources we find there.’

As Dr. Spudis notes, the discovery of such vast sources of water has significant implications for the future of space exploration, as astronauts could use the water to sustain a base on the moon, or even to generate oxygen.

In November 2009, NASA announced that it had found a ’significant’ amount of water on the moon following its LCROSS mission to ‘bomb’ the moon.

The most recent findings, which were shared at a Texas science conference, help pinpoint more precisely the location of the water, as well as its quantity.

Kick Ass: A Review

In the last couple of years I’ve found myself reading more and more comics, I guess the recent influx of comic based movies gave me a hunger to find out where all of these great characters and stories came from. Especially as several popular comic book movies are based on actual story arcs from the comics or one off graphic novels, such as The Dark Knight (based in part on Alan Moore’s The Killing Joke), Watchmen (another of Alan Moore’s works which the movie only strays away from ever so slightly) and Wanted from a few years ago (based on the graphic novel of the same name my Mark Millar). I saw the film first and enjoyed it so I thought I’d take the chance to read the original source material. To my surprise the film changes an awful lot from the original story. If you liked Wanted the film you may not enjoy the comic, however I personally believe it to be more imaginative than the film and it will give you some insight into the work of Millar if you are thinking about reading or have even read Kick Ass already.

My friend put me onto the Kick Ass series some months ago and I immediately fell in love with the concept, unfortunately living in the UK good comic stores are hard to come across, especially in my home town (Milton Keynes), however living at University in the city of Nottingham has presented the opportunity to become better acquainted with some of the great comics I have craved for. If anyone in Nottingham is reading this I buy from Page 45, a great store with great service. But I digress… my friend and I had a lengthy conversation about how we would become super heroes and so I waited for the collected edition of Kick-Ass to be released in the UK. On Thursday the call finally came and after reading it I’m pleased to say that my hopes were not dashed by this excellent comic.

The story is fast paced and extremely well written by Millar. The dialogue and narrative are punchy, funny and honest. Millar knows how people reading the comic think and he taps into that effortlessly with how he presents his title character. He’s nothing special in school, but he’s not the geek either. He could be any one of us! That’s the genius of the comic, it manages to present a scenario where super heroes exist and yet not for a second stray into the realm of super powers and nothing radioactive is in sight. If you’ll fall in love with the characters, and yes even the villains, because there’s a bit of everyone in this story. There’s the teenager who’s boredom leads him to do something fantastic. There’s the Dad who just wants to make life interesting for his child, and his daughter who will stand by her father’s side, samurai sword in hand, until the bitter end.

If you enjoy comics or are a new comer to them then I suggest Kick-Ass to you all. Yes the violence is on the extreme side, but this merely adds to the pull no punches attitude of Millar’s writing and the story wouldn’t have the same appeal without it. It doesn’t glorify someone being hit by a car or having their testicles electrocuted, it’s just saying ‘hey if this shit happened then it’d f*cking hurt’.

So go buy it, go love it and go spread the good word of Kick-Ass…. or should that be words?

Oh and there’s a film coming out soon too, check out the trailer here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrKHu2UX1vA

Sexy Sluts...

Slut is a word describing a certain kind of woman and a pejorative term. According to Wikipedia:

Although the ultimate origin of slut is unknown, it first appeared in Middle English in 1402 as slutte (AHD), with the meaning “a dirty, untidy, or slovenly woman.”[2]Even earlier, Geoffrey Chaucer used the word sluttish (c.1386) to describe a slovenly man; however, later uses appear almost exclusively associated with women.[2]The modern sense of “a sexually promiscuous woman” dates to at least 1450.[2]

But, think about this, there really is no “politically correct” term which describes a woman who is both sexually experienced and provocative.

I went through this phase – Am I gay? Am I straight? And then I realized… I’m just slutty. Where’s my parade?
Margaret Cho

Thinking about the term “slut”, what it means, how it is used to demean women and why there is no equivalent term for a man who sleeps around, would really hurt. Thank god VISIONS is just a mindless Flickr sex blog and doesn’t have to think deep thoughts. Here are a handful of photos from Flickr tagged slut:

A ChatRoulette Love Story

A Chatroulette Love Story

I can’t remember who I was talking to before that. Probably a large group of Russian men in a house floor to ceiling with empty vodka bottles. Everything leading up to that point became meaningless, the black, infinite darkness before you come sliding out of the womb. I just remember her face. Elfin, pixie-ish, with shoulder length brown hair and one of those thin, perfect noses cosmetic surgeons just can’t emulate, no matter how hard they try. She looked into the camera and smiled, lighting up my world, and most incredibly, she didn’t hit F9.

Your partner is typing…

“Hey! What’s up?”

I fumbled for my keyboard, caught between a “not much, you,” or a “Hi! You’re incredibly attractive…” But then, tragedy. My browser hung. The small square containing the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen was now just a mocking, blank 320×240 pit of emptiness. I refreshed, my guts in my mouth, hoping against hope that our paths would connect again, hearts across the wi-fi, only to be confronted by a man having sex with a toilet seat.

That night, I lay awake, unable to get the image of that girl out of my head. In my freshly-beating heart, I knew it was meant to be. Was it really that crazy to fall in love with a smile? Nobody laughed at our Grandparents when they saw each other through the windows of a moving train and just knew they’d spend the rest of their lives together. There was no choice; I had to track her down, I had to find my soulmate, no matter how many more connects it took, and the tale of this would be our story, told hand in hand at weddings and parties for fifty years.

Dracula once told his beloved that he’d crossed oceans of time to be reunited with her. The jagged, thrashing waves of my ocean were proud between the legs of pixelly, headless men. Thick, sweaty horsecocks and stubby little nobs clasped between thumb and forefinger like rotten strawberries; my righteous path was strewn with enough penis for ten thousand lifetimes. I asked men dressed like Jesus and shirtless OAPs if they’d seen my girl, if they could only give me a clue to her whereabouts, or to let her know that I was looking for her, should they find themselves connected. Most just hit Next and moved on. Some laughed. Many started masturbating. One girl showed me her boobs, but I quickly hit F9, so’s not to cheat on my beloved. And then, following a close-up of a beltbuckle reading ‘DAD’ with big, swollen testicles poking out of the fly, there it was – that smile. The rush of blood to my head was so intense that I almost fainted onto the desk.

Your partner is typing…

“Hey! What’s up?”

Heart booming in my ears, I pasted my carefully pre-written text – a short summation of my quest complete with email address – into the chatbox, and slammed on the enter key. Sure, it was needy, maybe even stalkerish, but times like these you have to throw caution to the wind. Faint heart never won fair maiden.

Your partner is typing…

Never gonna give you up,

Never gonna let you down,

Never gonna run around and desert you

One part of that was totally true. Can you guess which bit? And this link isn’t even worksafe if you work in a crackhouse. Click here to find out.
